Currently enjoys weightlifting, cycling, and running. Ryan is an R&D Scientist working at the Gatorade Sports Science Institute in Barrington, IL. As part of the research team, Ryan assists with the collection of data during clinical research trials. Additionally, he manages the scientific literature archive for the GSSI team, and assists with writing scientific reviews on various topics related to nutrition. His primary interests in nutrition include; the impact of isolated dietary constituents on exercise performance and health, macronutrient requirements for different sporting endeavors, and the influence of various foods on neurocognitive function. Ryan received his BS in Food, Nutrition, and Dietetics from Illinois State University. He completed a dietetic internship at Loyola University Chicago and obtained his RD license shortly after. Ryan attended graduate school at Rosalind Franklin University where he acquired a MS in Nutrition Education. In his spare time, Ryan enjoys trying new restaurants, playing piano, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
