Nutrition for Marathon Running

Course Objectives

  • Discuss the fuel sources, and limitations of those fuel sources, that marathon runners will utilize  on race day.
  • Calculate unique nutrient needs of the individual athlete based upon current research presented. 
  • Design a practical marathon nutrition strategy, including unique nutrient needs as well as preferences and tolerances, of the individual athlete, based upon current research presented.
