Dual sport high school athlete (ice hockey and lacrosse); played NCAA ice hockey; currently enjoys recreational ice hockey and weight lifting

SCIENTIFIC BACKGROUND: Anthony leads the GSSI satellite laboratory in Frisco, Texas. GSSI Frisco leverages expertise in physiology, nutrition, and technology driving one unifying question: how does human performance work and how can we improve it. Anthony’s interests lie in exercise physiology, sports nutrition, and human performance and recovery in team sports. Anthony earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Hamline University where he competed in NCAA ice hockey while finding an interest in research. He then moved on the Human Performance Laboratory at the University of Texas at Austin where he obtained his Master’s Degree under the guidance of Edward Coyle, PhD. Anthony’s research background has ranged from carbohydrate and protein supplementation to postprandial metabolic assessment and intervention in physical inactivity. In his free time he enjoys playing recreational ice hockey, traveling, and spending time with family.
