Jorge is a physical education professor and holds a Doctorate in Physical Activity Sciences from the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. Since 2006, he has been serving as the Chilean advisor for GSSI, responsible for providing education on sports nutrition and hydration and overseeing sweat testing in Chile. Jorge has taught at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels at various universities in Chile. For over 15 years, Jorge worked as an exercise physiologist at the Chilean High-Performance Center (CAR-Chile). From 2015 to 2017, he held the position of Head of Sports Science at CAR-Chile. He has authored book chapters, books, and scientific articles in the field of exercise science. Currently, Jorge works as a research faculty member in the Exercise Physiology and Metabolism Laboratory at the Universidad Finis Terrae. Jorge is the director of the Master's program in Clinical Exercise Physiology, as well as the Diploma program in Physical Activity Sciences. Jorge also serves as a physiological advisor to the professional football team of Universidad de Chile.
