Meagan was in cheerleading and track through high school. Currently, she is a competitive powerlifter, and likes to balance this out with hot yoga, rock climbing, SUP, and soaking up her Vitamin D while playing in a pool with her nieces and nephews.
SCIENTIFIC BACKGROUND: Meagan is a sports dietitian at Gatorade Sports Science Institute (GSSI) where she is a lead for the athlete service team in the field, maintains the website and educational materials for athletes and their influencers. She was the dietitian for the Chicago White Sox throughout the 2017 season. She is a Board Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD), which is the premier professional sports nutrition credential in the United States and internationally. Meagan is also a sport nutrition coach for numerous strength athletes. Prior to joining GSSI, she was the sports dietitian for the Chicago Cubs Triple-A affiliate, the Iowa Cubs. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Food, Nutrition, and Dietetics from Illinois State University. Meagan then completed her dietetic internship with a sports nutrition emphasis, and received her Master of Science degree from Northern Illinois University.
