Athletic Background:

Played softball for 13 years, indoor volleyball for 8 years, coached beach volleyball for 5 years and currently plays beach volleyball and has done so for the past 14 years.

SCIENTIFIC BACKGROUND: In August 2011, Kortney Dalrymple joined the Gatorade Sports Science Institute (GSSI) as a Research Associate for the satellite laboratory at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida where her main responsibilities were athlete testing, recruitment, and management of the day to day operations of the lab.  In 2015, Kortney changed roles and currently her main responsibilities are leading the US engagement operations, servicing our collegiate and elite partners. Kortney earned her BS and MS degrees in Exercise Science at East Stroudsburg University (ESU). During her undergraduate career, Kortney was a collegiate scholar athlete, playing on the women’s volleyball team as the libero. After completion of her MS, she moved into a faculty role at ESU, teaching Exercise Physiology and Kinesiology courses for one year. Afterwards, she worked at the University of Pittsburgh for two years, where she taught courses in the Health and Physical Activity Department. Just prior to working at GSSI, Kortney worked as a Research Assistant in the Vascular Biology Lab at the University of Georgia. Kortney is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. In her spare time, Kortney enjoys playing beach volleyball and spending time with her friends and dog.
