SCIENTIFIC BACKGROUND:

Jon-Kyle Davis is an Associate Principal Scientist at the GSSI satellite Lab at Baylor, Scott and White Sports Performance Center in Frisco, Texas. His main responsibilities include leading GSSI’s Performance Monitoring Program as part of the Elite Recovery Sciences Program. He co-leads GSSI Technology program, contributes to research, and helps manage GSSI Frisco operations. Prior to joining GSSI he was an Assistant Professor at the University of Montevallo and Texas A&M University-Commerce. During his time in academia he taught various courses in the areas of nutrition, applied and clinical physiology. He has conducted research in the areas of thermoregulation, hydration, and caffeine. Originally from Hopkinsville, Kentucky, Jon-Kyle earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s from Western Kentucky University in Exercise Science.  During his time at Western Kentucky he worked in the area of strength & conditioning with a variety of individual and team sport athletes.  In 2009 he graduated with his PhD from the University of Alabama in Human Performance. He is certified by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (CSCS) and by the American College of Sports Medicine.
