The GSSI laboratory located on the campus IMG Academy, where thousands of athletes train each year, opened in 2011 as the first GSSI satellite facility. The lab was expanded in 2016 as part of the Performance and Sports Science Center renovation, which added dual testing space, a dedicated nutrition kitchen and fuel bar and shared innovation and insights rooms to the existing GSSI footprint. Research and service activities at this lab focus on North American sports and hot weather conditions and have an applied focus, allowing GSSI to operate in both lab and field environments.
