Biography:

Samuel has been a GSSI advisor for Mexico since 2011 at the Guadalajara 2011 Pan American Games. He graduated as a surgeon in 2005 and entered the specialty of sports medicine in 2006, finishing in 2009.

His main role is as the Doctor in charge of the GSSI Mexico Lab. He has also participated in the translation of various sports science exchange articles and has been a speaker at various sports science forums with sports medicine topics. As part of his work at GSSI, he has presented two research posters on "Carbohydrate intake in professional soccer players in different training sessions" and "Sleep quality in professional and youth Mexican soccer players" at the annual meeting of the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM)

He was a doctor for the UNAM College football team from 2009-2011, and the physician in charge of the Cherokees AC football club from 2008-2021.

Samuel has participated as a teacher in Physiotherapy undergraduate and postgraduate courses at the Universidad del Valle de México and Nutrition undergraduate courses at the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey, Mexico City campus.

In his spare time, Samuel likes to exercise, play flag football and spend time with his family.
