Lisa has worked in the sports nutrition realm since 2007 and is a Board Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD) with interests in sports nutrition, hydration and performance. As a sports dietitian at the Gatorade Sports Science Institute (GSSI), Lisa works with nutrition related education and translation of research, as well as supports the athlete testing program. Lisa joined GSSI in February 2011 after working as the sports dietitian for the National Institute for Athletic Health & Performance in Sioux Falls, SD (Now Sanford Sports Science Institute). Lisa completed her undergraduate work at Bradley University where she earned a Bachelor's Degree in Foods, Nutrition and Dietetics. She completed her dietetic internship with the University of Houston and continued within the University to earn her Master's Degree in Exercise Science. In July of 2009, Lisa earned the CSSD credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR), the premier credential for sports dietitians. Lisa enjoys spending time with her husband, son, and puppy, as well as running, cycling, hiking, snow shoeing, golfing, and pretty much anything else that keeps her outside.
