SSE #108: Multiple Transportable Carbohydrates and Their Benefits
Participants will be able to:
1. Identify the intestinal carbohydrate transport systems and the role they play on carbohydrate oxidation rates.
2. Understand the impact of carbohydrate ingestion during exercise on plasma glucose and carbohydrate oxidation rates.
3. Discuss the benefits of consuming multiple transportable carbohydrates during prolonged endurance events (2.5 hours or longer).
